nicole laslavic

Nicole LaSlavic is the President & Chief Executive Officer of the USS Arizona Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit established to support the future USS ARIZONA (SSN 803) Virginia-class nuclear submarine, the fourth ship in U.S. history to be named for the great state of Arizona. The Foundation will also honor the memory of the USS ARIZONA (BB 39) battleship lost on December 7, 1941, in Pearl Harbor through public outreach and education.

With a robust background in executive leadership, government affairs, and nonprofit management, Nicole oversees the organization's strategic direction, operations, and administration. Her role encompasses implementing the foundation's purpose and guiding its programs and strategic initiatives.

Nicole's professional journey includes serving as Executive Director of the Arizona Solar Energy Industry Association and as Vice President of Government Affairs for the Arizona Association of REALTORS®, where she refined her skills in fundraising, community engagement, and strategic partnership development. Most recently, she held the role of Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Strategic Communications at the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association.

Rooted in a family with a strong military heritage, Nicole's profound respect for the armed forces was instilled from a young age. Surrounded by relatives who served, including her father, a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps, her grandfather, and several uncles who served in conflicts ranging from World War II to the Gulf War, Nicole learned early on the values of sacrifice and service.

As a dedicated volunteer, Nicole has served on several civic and community boards, including the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, demonstrating her commitment to community service and making a positive impact beyond her professional responsibilities.

Nicole is an alumna of Northern Arizona University and resides in central Phoenix with her husband and their four children. In her leisure time, she enjoys engaging in home remodeling projects, gardening, and cherishing moments with her family.
